This role focuses on surface-mount soldering, fine-pitch component rework, and microscope-based assembly, including QFN packages and 0201 passives.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as an electronics assembler or SMT technician, is comfortable working under a microscope, and understands the importance of IPC workmanship standards, ESD control, and quality-first manufacturing.

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Assembly & Rework Technician (SMT / PCB) to support electronics assembly, PCB assembly, and precision rework of high-quality electronic products. This role focuses on surface-mount soldering, fine-pitch component rework, and microscope-based assembly, including QFN packages and 0201 passives.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as an electronics assembler or SMT technician, is comfortable working under a microscope, and understands the importance of IPC workmanship standards, ESD control, and quality-first manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electronics assembly and PCB assembly using surface-mount technology (SMT)
- Hand solder and rework small SMT components, including QFN, 0201, and similar packages
- Perform precision component replacement and rework under a microscope
- Use soldering irons, hot air rework pens, and rework stations
- Troubleshoot and repair customer RMAs and returned electronic assemblies
- Assemble electronic products according to assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
- Follow IPC-A-610 workmanship standards and ESD-safe procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-compliant workstation
- Operate light manufacturing equipment such as a laser cutter and drill press when required
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production and quality goals
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, SMT assembly, or PCB rework
- Strong experience with surface-mount soldering and hot air rework
- Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards
- Experience with ESD control and handling of sensitive electronic components
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM)
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Required Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- IPC-A-610 certification preferred
- IPC-J-STD-001 familiarity
